Specialist Study Skills

Home Tuition Scotland has been providing specialist study skills tuition for students at Scotland’s colleges and universities since 2014. We aim to provide a responsive, student-centred service and this is reflected in the results we achieve. For example, in 2022/23:

  • 95% of students in receipt of HTS’ support described themselves as ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with their support.
  • 98% of students used positive comments, such as ‘adaptable’‘encouraging’ and ‘supportive’ to describe their Support Worker.

Services provided include:

  • Dyslexia specialist study support
  • Dyspraxia specialist study support
  • Dyscalculia specialist study support
  • ASC study support
  • Proof-reading

All of our tutors are GTCS-registered school teachers and/or SCQF level 9-qualified support specialists with extensive experience, and are updated PVG members.

Home Tuition Scotland is a registered UK-Department of Education Specialist Study Skills practitioner so you can be assured our tutors meet the relevant SAAS or SFE/SFW/SFNI requirements.

Our Director offers academic expertise in providing one-to-one study support skills tuition for students with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including:

  • Dyslexia
  • Dsypraxia
  • Dyscalculia
  • ADHD
  • ADD
  • ASC
